New Players

If you are new to OBU for the season, you can register as a new player

OBU Supporter

If you are not coming back to play in the new season, make sure you register as a Supporter of OBU and be kept in the loop. In future, you will just be sent a ‘re-register email’ at the beginning of each season, where all you need to do is update it with any amendments.

Current Players

ALL players (returning and new players) will need to re-register via the new registration portal called Xplorer.

Players registered with OBU in 2024 will have received emails about registering for the new season.

If you do not receive these emails by the end of January, or you have changed your email address, please let your Team Manager or OBU Secretary know.

Please note that your membership of OBU is not confirmed until subs are paid.

You can pay your subs online by clicking on the dropdown menu from the “SHOP” tab page and select subscriptions OR you can pay via direct deposit into the OBU bank account. Please see the OBU Treasurer for details.

Overseas Player

Are you coming to play for OBU from overseas? If so, you need to complete an IRB Clearance Form. Before you leave to come to NZ, fill it in, scan/send it or hand it to your club/province & tell them they will forward it to the National Rugby Union of your country.

Once they have processed it, they will forward it to the NZRU, then to the WRFU then onto OBU, simple!!

These can take a bit of time, so the earlier you get on to it, the more likely you will be able to play for OBU as soon as you get here. If you don’t complete a form until you get here, you will need to fill it in, sign it and scan it to OBU Secretary and let him know what club you played for and an email address of a suitable club contact.
